In the NET collection, designed by Gianpaolo Venier – OTTO Studio for Karpeta, rug design transforms into a genuine network connecting objects, people, and space. The rug moves beyond a mere functional element to become the centerpiece of a visual and emotional narrative within the home environment.

NET originates from the concept of a “network”—understood not only as a graphic structure but as a metaphor for connections. Primary shapes (line, circle, square) break apart and reshape, breaking the rigidity of the Cartesian plane to give life to irregular, dynamic, and vibrant rugs.

Each piece tells a story: shifted grids, misaligned lines, imperfect ovals. These are signs of real use, of an object that adapts to movement and human presence. The rug thus becomes an element of sensory and aesthetic connection, in continuous dialogue with the space that embraces it.

With NET, rug design becomes everyday poetry: a surface to live on, telling stories of travel, material, and transformation.
