Fleece Rugs<\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]The technique used for pile rugs consists in intersecting the longitudinal threads (spectrum) with the transversal threads (weft). The yarn is stretched onto the loom to create a tight warp. Working from the bottom upwards, the artisans weave the weft, creating various patterns and textures. To create the \u201cpile\u201d, the fibre is wound around a special shaft during the weaving process and cut to ensure it is the same height. The backing to the pile is in cotton and holds the framework of the rug together. Tufted Rugs<\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Tufting involves the use of a \u201ctufted gun\u201d to attach carpet fibres to a cloth. Tufts of pile are inserted by following a pattern and then levelled off to create a uniform surface or a relief effect by alternating the height levels of the tuft.\u00a0 To finish the carpet a cotton backing is then glued onto the entire carpet. Handknotted Rugs<\/h3>\n

The quality of the rug increases in proportion to the number of knots of which it is made up. SILK<\/h4>\n

LINEN<\/h4>\n

HEMP<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]This fibre comes from the stalk of the plant of the same name and is characterised by its rustic appearance and roughness to the touch. It is a tough resilient fibre and so does not absorb the dye uniformly.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column css_animation=”fadeInUp” width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”ab-above-title”]<\/p>\n

VISCOSE<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Viscose is an artificial fibre obtained from processing wood pulp from trees (or from other materials, such as cotton or straw). It has a silky sheen and is particularly soft to the touch.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column css_animation=”fadeInUp” width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”ab-above-title”]<\/p>\n

TENCEL<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Tencel is obtained from processing cellulose derived from wood, mainly Eucalyptus, and is an eco-sustainable alternative to the cultivation and extraction of cotton.
